Ticket Information

Discount Tickets

Pupils, students and senior citizens aged 65 and over receive reduced admission from Monday to Thursday (except public holidays and between 18 and 30 December). The reduction can only be granted upon presentation of an appropriate ID.

General Information

Children (under the age of 6) have free access to the Christmas Garden. The children receive, however, a free-of-charge ticket so that the precise number of visitors can be checked.
In our online ticket shop you have the possibility to acquire print@home and mobile tickets. You can buy these until shortly before the event and take them along with you on your mobile phone or as a printout.

Current information on health requirements for visiting the event can be found here shortly before the opening. All information on our hygiene concept can be found here.

Personalised Ticketing and Re-personalisation of Tickets

In order to be able to trace possible chains of infection, we as promoters are obliged to record your name and contact details. We use computer-controlled, personalised ticketing. In doing so, we observe both the relevant requirements of the authorities and the data protection regulations in accordance with the DSGVO. Children’s tickets must also be personalised and must contain all the necessary information. Only a personalised ticket then authorises you to enter. We ask you to present the purchased tickets and a photo document (identity card, driving licence, etc.) at the entrance.

If you are unable to attend on the day of the event, you can change your print@home or mobile ticket to a different name in your booking account at The re-personalisation will be done online. Further information can be found here.
If the ticket was sent to you by post, it will be re-personalised on site at the box office. There, you or the new visitor in question would enter the previous ticket and all the above-mentioned details of the new ticket holder. You can find the form here.

Return and Exchange of Tickets

Please note that in the event of loss of the ticket, no replacement or additional printout will be possible. In the same way a return or exchange of tickets is not possible. In accordance with § 312g Para 2 Sentence 1 No. 9 BGB (German Civil Code) there is no right to revocation when acquiring tickets despite the basic existence of a distance selling transaction. This unfortunately also means that when buying tickets the two-week right of revocation and return is completely excluded.
If you have any questions about tickets you have already purchased, please contact your ticket provider.

Bicycles and Sleighs

Unfortunately bicycles and sleighs are not allowed in the area of the Botanic Garden. Please keep in mind that there are no bicycle racks inside the area either.

Day and Annual Tickets of the Botanic Garden

The Christmas Garden offers a special programme that takes place at the Botanic Garden in the evening hours. Day and annual tickets of the Botanic Garden are therefore not valid.

We ask for your understanding that dogs (including on a leash) and other animals are not admitted to the site of Christmas Garden Berlin. This does not, of course, apply to officially registered assistance dogs (guide dogs for the blind, etc).

Gastronomic Offer

If you get hungry during your magical journey at the Christmas Garden, our new gastronomy partner offers a varied range of food and drinks along the circular route. Enjoy a cup of mulled wine or hot chocolate and satisfy your hunger with savoury or sweet dishes. You can find more information here.

Greenhouses of the Botanic Garden

The greenhouses are unfortunately not part of the trail. The greenhouses are closed due to measures against the spread of coronavirus.

Hygiene Concept and Public Security

With an increased security and steward staff as well as a professional admission organisation, we take the security requirements which have been tightened over the past years into due account on the basis of current standards as well as the hygiene and distancing recommendations (more information). In the interests of a quick admission, we kindly ask you not to take along large bags.

Ice Rink

Due to the COVID 19 pandemic, we are exceptionally foregoing an ice rink this year, as safe operation cannot yet be guaranteed. Thank you for your understanding.

Lost and Found

If you have lost something in the Christmas Garden, we kindly ask you to send us an email describing the lost item.

Opening Hours

All information on admission and opening hours can be found here.

Parking Spaces and Public Transport

Unfortunately there are no parking spaces on site. We therefore recommend to travel by public transportation. Please note, that public transport is not included in the Christmas Garden ticket.

You reach the entrance “Königin-Luise-Straße” via the station “Königin-Luise-Platz/Botanischer Garten” (bus 101, N3, X83). Please note due to construction work the entrance “Unter den Eichen” is not accessible.

All trails are suitable for prams. Moreover, a limited number of hand carts is available on site which you can borrow free of charge.

Taking Pictures

You are cordially invited to photograph our installations and you may also take along a tripod. We appreciate if you take pictures of the special atmosphere of the Christmas Garden and share your impressions with us on Facebook or Instagram under #christmasgarden and #christmasgardenberlin.

The (non-guided) tour is recommended trail and is approximately 2 kilometers long. Depending on your time of stay it takes approximately 45 minutes to 1.5 hours. Of course you can have breaks on your way and extensively admire our installations or stay longer at our photo points. Toilets and catering are likewise available along the way.

Visitors with Disabilities

Adult visitors with disabilities need a ticket for adults. Children with disabilities need a ticket for children. Upon presentation of a severely disabled person’s identity card (mark B), an accompanying person will receive free entry to the Christmas Garden. The accompanying person does not receive a ticket, and must first fill out a form to record visitor data in order to trace possible chains of infection. Only then can the accompanying person pass through the entrance with the visitor.

The path is barrier-free and therefore wheelchair accessible. There are handicapped accessible toilets on the site.

You can pre-order a wheelchair, which will then be reserved for you at the Königin-Luise-Straße entrance. Please contact us by e-mail at

Weather and Clothing

Christmas Garden Berlin takes place at any weather – including rain. You should be aware of this when purchasing a ticket. Any return of tickets in case of bad weather is unfortunately excluded as long as there is no acute danger for visitors. The Christmas Garden is an outdoor event. Please think of weatherproof clothing and solid footwear.
