Our COVID-19 Hygiene Concept

Organised safely and responsibly

Together with our 700 team members, we are especially looking forward to the new edition of the Christmas Garden and your visit this year! As the year 2021 also demands great restrictions from everyone in terms of events, we can hardly wait to offer our audience a unique Christmas season and to conjure up magical moments for our big and small guests.
Safe and responsibly organised events and the health of our guests and staff are our top priority.

The Key Points of our Security Concept

The extent of the hygiene measures is always adapted to current developments with the necessary proportionality and in consultation with the authorities.

Admission only for Vaccinated, Recovered and Tested Persons

At the entrance, a scanning system will ensure that only fully vaccinated, recovered or tested persons are granted access to the site. For this purpose, each visitor must provide proof of a negative test (antigen or PCR test) no older than 24 hours, proof of recovery (positive PCR test at least 28 days and no more than six months ago) or proof of a full Corona vaccination that took place at least 14 days ago.

Contact Tracing

In order to be able to trace possible chains of infection, we are obliged as organisers to record your names and contact details. We use a computerised, personalised ticketing system. In doing so, we observe the requirements of the authorities in this regard as well as the data protection rules according to the DSGVO. Children’s tickets must also be personalised and must contain all the required information. Only a personalised ticket then entitles you to access.

Compulsory Mask

Wearing an FFP2 or medical mask is recommended on all event sites. Depending on the official requirements of the individual federal states, this may also be mandatory and will be communicated on site.

Highly frequented areas such as catering and sanitary facilities are regularly disinfected. There will also be sufficient stations for hand disinfection distributed throughout the entire sites.

Distance Regulation

The distance rule of 1.50 metres to other visitors applies on the entire event site. This does not apply to family members, members of one’s own household or a maximum of one other household.

Tickets in Advance

To simplify the process at the entrance and avoid queues, we ask you to purchase tickets in advance and not on site at the box office. You can buy the best-priced tickets online from your PC, tablet or smartphone in just a few simple steps. This way you can secure your preferred admission time slot without stress and help to simplify the organisation at the entrance.

Reduced Capacities

We are reducing capacity this year, thereby reducing the number of visitors. With this step, we are facilitating compliance with the central requirement of maintaining distance in all areas of the event.

We communicate the regulations in a holistic and comprehensible way – from the purchase of the ticket to the moment you leave the Christmas Garden. On the website, in all disciplines of customer dialogue and with a signage concept on the grounds, we guarantee complete and simple information for you.

Organised Arrival and Staggered Admission

The admission windows, during which a limited number of visitors can enter the Christmas Garden with their tickets, will be shortened from 60 to 30 minutes compared to previous years. This will reduce the number of intermittent visitors and avoid queues. This significantly shortened time limit for the admission windows will also enable better control of the arrival process. Depending on the circumstances of the location, additional measures will be taken, for example, the provision of more parking spaces.

One-way System

The circular walkways and all visitor areas are organised in a one-way system. Two-way traffic is thus avoided.

Additional and Trained Staff

Additional staff will be placed throughout the site to manage the flow of visitors in order to avoid any form of crowding. The staff are trained to deal with the employees and with regard to the overall concept. A hygiene officer at each site ensures that the agreed measures are implemented.

The safe and responsible organisation also includes the catering services. Together with the experienced catering partners, the hygiene concept for the catering areas is adapted to the current situation. Where responsible operation of catering does not seem possible, you will unfortunately have to do without it.
