Christmas Garden Berlin

Due to the new Corona Protection Ordinance, the 2G Plus rule will apply to the Christmas Garden Berlin from 28. December 2021:

Admission is now only possible for guests who have either been fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or have recovered from it and also present a current, negative rapid test from an official test center that is not older than 24 hours. An identification document and the necessary proof according to the 2G Plus Rule or for the exceptions must be presented for verification. No entry is possible without proof.

In addition, FFP2 masks are compulsory. This does not apply to children under 6 years of age, who are exempt from the mask requirement. Children under 14 years of age may alternatively wear a medical mask.

Exempt from the 2G Plus rule are:

  • Children up to the age of 6. These are exempt from proof (vaccinated, recovered, tested).
  • Schoolchildren, as a regular test is made at school. As proof, please present a school ID, a school certificate, a BVG school ticket or an official document (child ID, child passport).

In the following cases, a negative rapid antigen test (without 2G proof) is required:

  • Boosters, i.e. all people who have already received a booster vaccination against Corona, need to present a daily negative antigen test from an official testing centre.
  • Persons who cannot be vaccinated for medical reasons must prove vaccination eligibility by means of a medical certificate and present a daily negative antigen test from an official testing centre.
  • Persons under 18 years of age who have not been fully vaccinated must present a daily negative antigen test from an official testing centre.

As there is an STIKO vaccination recommendation for breastfeeding and pregnant women, the rules for adults apply.

Please note that we only accept digital proof of vaccination (Corona warning app or CovPass app), as well as the printed vaccination certificate. It is no longer sufficient to present the yellow vaccination certificate. As these are infection control measures, goodwill rules are not allowed. Please allow extra time at the entrance for the additional checks.

Contact Tracing

In order to be able to trace possible chains of infection, we are obliged as organisers to record your names and contact details. We use a computerised, personalised ticketing system. In doing so, we observe the requirements of the authorities in this regard as well as the data protection rules according to the DSGVO. Children’s tickets must also be personalised and must contain all the required information. Only a personalised ticket then entitles you to access.

Compulsory Mask

Wearing an FFP2 or medical mask is recommended on all event sites. Depending on the official requirements of the individual federal states, this may also be mandatory and will be communicated on site.

Disinfaction

Highly frequented areas such as catering and sanitary facilities are regularly disinfected. There will also be sufficient stations for hand disinfection distributed throughout the entire sites.

Distance Regulation

The distance rule of 1.50 metres to other visitors applies on the entire event site. This does not apply to family members, members of one’s own household or a maximum of one other household.

Tickets in Advance

To simplify the process at the entrance and avoid queues, we ask you to purchase tickets in advance and not on site at the box office. You can buy the best-priced tickets online from your PC, tablet or smartphone in just a few simple steps. This way you can secure your preferred admission time slot without stress and help to simplify the organisation at the entrance.

Reduced Capacities

We are reducing capacity this year, thereby reducing the number of visitors. With this step, we facilitate compliance with the central requirement of maintaining distance in all areas of the event.

Communication

We communicate the regulations in a clear and comprehensive manner – from the moment you buy your ticket to the moment you leave the Christmas Gardens. On the website, in all disciplines of customer dialogue and with a signage concept on the grounds, we guarantee complete and simple information for you.

Organised Arrival

The admission windows, during which a limited number of visitors can enter the Christmas Garden with their tickets, will be shortened from 60 to 30 minutes compared to previous years. This will reduce the number of intermittent visitors and avoid queues. This significantly shortened time limit for the admission windows will also enable better control of the arrival process. Depending on the circumstances of the location, additional measures will be taken, such as the provision of more parking spaces.

One-way System

The circular walkways and all visitor areas are organised in a one-way system. Two-way traffic is avoided.

Additional and Trained Staff

Additional staff will be deployed throughout the site to manage the flow of visitors in order to avoid any form of queuing. The staff are trained to deal with the staff and with regard to the overall concept. A hygiene officer at each site ensures that the agreed measures are implemented.

Catering

The safe and responsible organisation also includes the catering services. Together with the experienced catering partners, the hygiene concept for the catering areas is adapted to the current situation. Where responsible operation of catering does not seem possible, you will regrettably have to do without it.

As to October 2021.
