General Information

Children (under the age of 6) have free access to the Christmas Garden. The children receive, however, a free-of-charge ticket so that the precise number of visitors can be checked.
In our online ticket shop you have the possibility to acquire print@home and mobile tickets. You can buy these until shortly before the event and take them along with you on your mobile phone or as a printout.

Current information on health requirements for visiting the event can be found here shortly before the opening. All information on our hygiene concept can be found here.

Personalised Ticketing and Re-personalisation of Tickets

In order to be able to trace possible chains of infection, we as promoters are obliged to record your name and contact details. We use computer-controlled, personalised ticketing. In doing so, we observe both the relevant requirements of the authorities and the data protection regulations in accordance with the DSGVO. Children’s tickets must also be personalised and must contain all the necessary information. Only a personalised ticket then authorises you to enter. We ask you to present the purchased tickets and a photo document (identity card, driving licence, etc.) at the entrance.

If you are unable to attend on the day of the event, you can change your print@home or mobile ticket to a different name in your booking account at myticket.de. The re-personalisation will be done online. Further information can be found here.
If the ticket was sent to you by post, it will be re-personalised on site at the box office. There, you or the new visitor in question would enter the previous ticket and all the above-mentioned details of the new ticket holder. You can find the form here.

Return and Exchange of Tickets

Please note that in the event of loss of the ticket, no replacement or additional printout will be possible. In the same way a return or exchange of tickets is not possible. In accordance with § 312g Para 2 Sentence 1 No. 9 BGB (German Civil Code) there is no right to revocation when acquiring tickets despite the basic existence of a distance selling transaction. This unfortunately also means that when buying tickets the two-week right of revocation and return is completely excluded.
If you have any questions about tickets you have already purchased, please contact your ticket provider.

Tickets for Christmas Garden 2020

Tickets already purchased for Christmas Garden 2020 remain valid for 2021. As a special thank you for your trust, you will receive an upgrade and can use your tickets from 2020 as FlexTickets this year!
The FlexTicket offers you the opportunity to visit the Christmas Garden once on any opening day and in any time slot you wish. With a FlexTicket, you are therefore not bound to a date and a time slot.
If you do not wish to keep your ticket, it can be returned for a refund of the purchase price. Please contact the ticket provider.

General Information

Admission Times

All information on admission and opening hours can be found here.

Bicycles and Sleighs

Unfortunately bicycles and sleighs are not allowed in the area at Ehrenbreitstein Fortress. Please keep in mind that there are no bicycle racks inside the area either.

Dogs

We ask for your understanding that dogs (including on a leash) and other animals are not admitted to the site of Christmas Garden Koblenz. This does not, of course, apply to officially registered assistance dogs (guide dogs for the blind, etc).

Exhibition Rooms of Ehrenbreitstein Fortress

The exhibition rooms are unfortunately not part of the trail and, therefore, remain closed.

Gastronomic Offer and Christmas Parties

All your creature comforts are catered for with hot and cold food as well as beverages along the trail. The offer includes sweet as well as hearty food. Here you can find further information.

Enjoy the extraordinary flair of the Christmas Garden Koblenz to end the year in an atmospheric way together with your colleagues, family or friends. We would be happy to organise your Christmas party at the Christmas Garden. Further details and information can be found here.

Hygiene Concept and Public Security

With an increased security and steward staff as well as a professional admission organisation, we take the security requirements which have been tightened over the past years into due account on the basis of current standards as well as the hygiene and distancing recommendations (more information). In the interests of a quick admission, we kindly ask you not to take along large bags.

Lost and Found

If you have lost something in the Christmas Garden, we kindly ask you to send us an email describing the lost item.

Opening Hours

All information on admission and opening hours can be found here.

Parking Spaces and Public Transport

We recommend arriving by cable car, as there are only a limited number of parking spaces (chargeable) available near the Christmas Garden. You can easily glide from the valley station (Konrad-Adenauer-Ufer, 56068 Koblenz) to the fortress.

Prams

All trails are suitable for prams.

Taking Pictures

You are cordially invited to photograph our installations and you may also take along a tripod. We appreciate if you take pictures of the special atmosphere of the Christmas Garden and share your impressions with us on Facebook or Instagram under #christmasgarden and #christmasgardenkoblenz.

Trail

The (non-guided) tour is recommended trail and is approximately 2 kilometers long. Depending on your time of stay it takes approximately 45 minutes to 1.5 hours. Of course you can have breaks on your way and extensively admire our installations or stay longer at our photo points. Toilets and catering are likewise available along the way.

Validity of Day and Annual Tickets of Ehrenbreitstein Fortress

The Christmas Garden offers a special programme that takes place at Fortress Ehrenbreitstein in the evening hours. Day and annual tickets of Fortress Ehrenbreitstein are therefore not valid. Combi Tickets are available in our ticket shop.

Please note: The Fortress closes during the period from 19 November 2021 to 09 January 2022 already at 4.30 pm.

Visitors with Disabilities

Adult visitors with disabilities need a ticket for adults. Children with disabilities need a ticket for children. Upon presentation of a severely disabled person’s identity card (mark B), an accompanying person will receive free entry to the Christmas Garden. The accompanying person does not receive a ticket, and must first fill out a form to record visitor data in order to trace possible chains of infection. Only then can the accompanying person pass through the entrance with the visitor.

The path is barrier-free and therefore wheelchair accessible. There are handicapped accessible toilets on the site.

Weather and Clothing

The Christmas Garden takes place at any weather – including rain. You should be aware of this when purchasing a ticket. Any return of tickets in case of bad weather is unfortunately excluded as long as there is no acute danger for visitors. The Christmas Garden is an outdoor event. Please think of weatherproof clothing and solid footwear.
