Questions and answers about the Christmas Garden Berlin
Tickets
Children up to the age of 5 are admitted to the Christmas Garden free of charge. Children aged 6 and over require a ticket, which can be booked in our ticket store.
Children under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult.
Yes, we offer two voucher options - which you can purchase via the ticket page - to make your loved ones happy:
- FlexTicket as a gift: the recipient can visit the Christmas Garden on any day within the opening hours without having to commit to a specific date in advance.
-Value voucher as a gift: With a value voucher from our partner myticket.de, you give the gift of freedom to redeem the voucher for various events, including the Christmas Garden.
Yes, we offer discounts for the following visitor groups and tickets:
- Pupils, students and senior citizens aged 65 and over
Reduced admission from Monday to Thursday (except on public holidays and between December 20 and January 1). The discount can only be granted on presentation of appropriate ID at the entrance.
- Families
Reduced admission (up to 505% discount*) on Family Day (November 20, 27 and December 03, 10)
Reduced admission (up to 37% discount*) with the family ticket
Up to 5 people can visit the Christmas Garden on Family Day or with the Family Ticket:
(a) 2 adults and up to 3 children aged 6 to 14 inclusive
b) 1 adult and up to 4 children aged 6 to 14 years inclusive
* compared to the purchase of individual tickets
- Children
Children up to and including 5 years receive free admission to the Christmas Garden.
Discounts and reductions cannot be combined.
Up to a group size of 20 people, you can book your tickets via our ticket page. For groups of 21 people or more, please send us a request, which you can also submit via our ticket page.
Yes, tickets are also available at the box office:
- Adults: € 29.50
- Children: 25,00 €
- Pupils, students and senior citizens aged 65 and over (only Mondays to Thursdays, except between 20.12. and 06.01.): €25.00
- Families: 81,50 €
The cheapest tickets are only available online! The earlier you book a ticket, the cheaper the ticket price.
The box office on site is open at the following times:
- Monday to Thursday, Sunday: 4:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
- Friday and Saturday as well as December 20 to January 01: 4:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Yes, if you have purchased a ticket via our website or myticket.de, you can rebook the ticket to a new date and/or time slot up to five days before your booked time slot.
Ticket booking via a guest account:
If you have booked your tickets as a guest, please use the "request new password" function via the following link to convert your guest account into a customer account: myticket login. Please enter the e-mail address you used to book the tickets. You can then carry out the rebooking in your customer account under "Ticket" and the sub-item "Ticket exchange".

Please note: Discounted tickets for pupils, students and senior citizens can only be exchanged for the days Monday to Thursday. It is not possible to change tickets for Friday to Sunday. A fee of €5.00 will be charged per exchange/process. Exchanges are only possible via online payment (credit card, Klarna, Amazon Pay, Giropay) and not with advance payment.
Yes, mobile tickets and Print@home tickets can be shown on a cell phone. It is not necessary to print out the tickets.
No. Tickets cannot be replaced or reprinted if lost. The return of tickets is also excluded. According to § 312g paragraph 2 sentence 1 no. 9 BGB, there is no right of withdrawal when purchasing tickets, despite the basic existence of a distance selling transaction. This means that the two-week right of withdrawal and return is completely excluded when purchasing tickets.
If no more tickets are available online for an admission window, it is sold out and no more tickets are available at the box office. We recommend purchasing tickets at a lower price in advance in our ticket store.
We use a demand-oriented pricing system. This means that our admission prices are based on how early and for which date you book a ticket. This means that we can offer you your Christmas Garden experience at a particularly low price on many performance days. Booking tickets early pays off! So secure your price advantage now.
Information on payment methods can be found on the website of our ticket provider myticket.de. You can pay at the box office with cash, EC card or credit card.
Vouchers can be issued with an individual voucher value (from €1.00) and personalized with a dedication.
Vouchers can be redeemed directly at the Christmas Garden box office, but only on condition that tickets are still available for the desired day and admission window.
We recommend redeeming the voucher for tickets online in our ticket store before your visit to the Christmas Garden. Additional payments are possible. Any remaining credit on the vouchers can of course be used for other events at myticket.de.

No. Public transport is not included in the Christmas Garden ticket.

In order to provide all guests with an atmospheric experience, the admission time is staggered per 30 minutes. The admission time is stated on your ticket. Please pass the entrance within the specified half hour. Example: If you have purchased a ticket for 17:30, you can enter between 17:30 and 18:00. Of course you can stay longer than 30 minutes in the Christmas Garden.

General information
Yes, you may bring a pram/pushchair with you. We also have a limited number of handcarts available on site, which you can borrow free of charge. All paths can be used with the pram/pushchair.
If you have lost something in the Christmas Garden, please send us an e-mail with a description of the lost item.
Yes, the Christmas Garden takes place whatever the weather - even if it rains. Please be aware of this before purchasing a ticket. Tickets cannot be returned due to bad weather unless there is an acute risk to our guests.

You are cordially invited to photograph our installations. Of course, you are welcome to bring a tripod. We would be delighted if you would capture the special atmosphere of the Christmas Garden and share your impressions with us on Instagram, TikTok and Facebook under #christmasgarden. Please understand that, for safety reasons, photography with drones is not permitted. At our event, photos and videos may only be taken for private purposes. Recordings for commercial purposes are not permitted.
No. The greenhouses of the Botanic Garden are not part of the circular route and are not open in the evening.
No. Bicycles, sledges, balance bikes and other children's vehicles may not be taken onto the Christmas Garden grounds for safety reasons.
No. Please understand that dogs (also on a lead, in rucksacks, bags etc.) and other animals may not be taken into the Christmas Garden. Officially registered assistance dogs (e.g. guide dogs) are of course excluded.
No. Day and annual tickets for the Botanic Garden are not valid, as the Christmas Garden is an event that takes place in the Botanic Garden in the evening.
The Family Day will take place on November 20, 27, December 3 and 10, 2024.
The Christmas Garden is an open-air event and the winter evenings can get very cold. We therefore recommend that you wear warm, weatherproof clothing and sturdy shoes. Please also bring an umbrella if necessary.
We are meeting the increased security requirements of recent years with increased security personnel and a professional admission organization, taking into account current standards. To ensure speedy admission, we kindly ask you not to bring large bags.

Guests with disabilities
Yes, there are barrier-free toilets on the premises.
Visitors with a disabled person's pass (mark B) can take an accompanying person into the Christmas Garden free of charge. However, children and adults with disabilities require a regular ticket. The accompanying person does not need their own ticket, but can pass through the entrance with the person they are accompanying.
Adult visitors with disabilities require an adult ticket. Children with disabilities require a ticket for children. On presentation of a disabled person's pass (mark B), an accompanying person receives free admission to the Christmas Garden. The accompanying person does not need their own ticket. They can pass through the entrance with the person they are accompanying.
There are barrier-free paths for visitors with wheelchairs or baby carriages, but the natural conditions on site can still be a challenge.

Yes, our varied gastronomic offer awaits you along the circular route at Christmas-decorated huts and invites you to take a short break during your magical journey.
Yes, it is possible to purchase food and drinks in cash and with a debit/credit card.
No. Unfortunately, we do not offer Christmas parties at Christmas Garden Berlin . If you would like to book a Christmas party including a light event, then visit our Christmas Garden experience Weihnachten im Tierpark at Tierpark Berlin.
