Children up to and including 5 years of age receive free admission to the Christmas Garden. From the age of 6, children require a ticket, which can be booked in our ticket shop.
Admission for children under 14 years is only permitted when accompanied by an adult.
Yes, schoolchildren, students and senior citizens aged 65 and over are entitled to reduced admission from Monday to Thursday (except on public holidays and between 19 December and 01 January). The discount can only be granted upon presentation of an appropriate ID at the entrance.
Yes. Adult visitors with disabilities require an adult ticket. Children with disabilities require a ticket for children. On presentation of a severely handicapped ID (sign B), an accompanying person receives free admission to the Christmas Garden. The accompanying person does not receive a ticket and must fill out a visitor data collection form beforehand to track possible chains of infection. Only then can the accompanying person pass the entrance with the visitor.
Up to a group size of 20 people you can book your tickets via our ticket page. From a group size of 21 people, please send us an enquiry.
Yes, tickets are also available at the box office. We recommend purchasing tickets for a cheaper price in advance, as popular time slots may be sold out, resulting in waiting times. The on-site box office is open from 4:00 to 8:30 p.m.
Yes. If you are prevented from attending on the day of the event, you can change the name of your print@home or mobile ticket in your booking account at myticket.de. The reassignment takes place online. If you have received your ticket by post, it will be reassigned at the box office. Please bring the completed reassignment form with you; you can download it here.
No. If the ticket is lost, no replacement or reprint is possible. Likewise, a return or exchange of tickets is not possible. Pursuant to Section 312g, paragraph 2, sentence 1, no. 9 of the German Civil Code (BGB), there is no right of revocation for the purchase of tickets despite the fundamental existence of a distance selling transaction. This means that the two-week right of revocation and return is completely excluded when purchasing tickets.
If no more tickets are available online for a time slot, it is sold out and no more tickets are available at the box office either.
Yes, you are allowed to bring a pram/handcart with you. In addition, a limited number of handcarts are available on site, which we lend free of charge. All paths can be used by prams/handcarts.
Yes. The Christmas Garden takes place in all weathers – including if it rains. Please be aware of this before purchasing a ticket. Tickets cannot be returned due to bad weather, as long as there is no acute danger to our guests.
There are barrier-free paths for visitors:inside with wheelchairs or strollers, yet the natural conditions on site can be a challenge.
You are cordially invited to photograph our installations. Of course, you may bring a tripod. We would be delighted if you capture the special atmosphere of the Christmas Garden and share your impressions with us on Facebook, Instagram and TikTok under #christmasgarden. Please understand that for safety reasons, photography with drones is not permitted. At our event, photography and filming may only be done for private purposes. Recordings for commercial/commercial purposes are not permitted.
No. The Botanic Garden's greenhouses are not part of the trail and are not open in the evening.
No. For safety reasons, bicycles, sledges, balance bikes and other children's vehicles may not be taken onto the Christmas Garden grounds.
No. Please understand that dogs (even if leashed) and other animals may not be taken into the Christmas Garden. An exception is made, of course, for officially registered assistance dogs (guide dogs, etc.).
No. Day and annual Botanic Garden passes are not valid as the Christmas Garden is an event that takes place in the evening hours in the Botanic Garden.
To ensure an atmospheric experience for all guests, the admission time is staggered by 30-minute intervals. Your ticket will show the admission time. Please pass by the entrance within the half hour indicated. Example: If you have bought a ticket for 5:30 p.m., then you can arrive for admission between 5:30 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. Of course you can stay longer than 30 minutes in the Christmas Garden.
The Christmas Garden is an open-air event and the winter evenings can get very cold. We therefore recommend weatherproof and warm clothing as well as sturdy shoes. Please also bring an umbrella if necessary.
Yes. Our varied culinary provision awaits you along the circular trail at snack stands decorated for Christmas that invite you to take a short break during your magical journey.
Yes. The purchase of food and beverages in cash and with a giro/credit card is possible.
The value of the voucher is € 10.00 and can only be exchanged for a coupon sheet at the first, signposted hut on the circular route (near the entrance). The coupon sheet can be redeemed flexibly at all huts in the Christmas Garden Berlin and is valid for the purchase of any food and beverages. Cash payment is not possible.
Currently, there are no testing and verification requirements for admission to the Christmas Garden. We are looking forward to your visit!

We are meeting the increased security requirements of the past few years with increased steward and security personnel and a professional admission organization, taking into account current standards. To ensure speedy admission, please do not bring any large bags with you.
