Plan your visit to the Christmas Garden Insel Mainau

The Christmas Garden Insel Mainau open from November 18, 2025, to January 5, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Last admission is at 8:00 p.m.
The Christmas Garden will be closed on the following days: November 24, November 25, December 1, December 2, December 24, and December 31.
Please note that the Palm House will not open until 7:30 p.m. on December 6 due to a private event.

Arriving by car
There is ample parking available in the mainland car park. Parking fees on Mainau Island are €6.00 for visitors and €2.00 for annual pass holders. Further information can be found on the Mainau Island website.
You can easily reach the Christmas Garden by boat using the car ferry (Constance–Meersburg connection). Information on departure times can be found on the Stadtwerke Konstanz website. Before purchasing tickets, please check whether the desired ferry connection is available on your desired date.
Arriving by motorhome
A designated motorhome parking area is available for those arriving by motorhome. The parking fee on Mainau Island is €6.00. If you stay overnight, in addition to the parking fee (valid from 7:00 a.m. to 11:59 p.m.), you will also be charged the night rate (valid from midnight to 7:00 a.m.) of €12.00. Arrival by boat
The BSB offers a shuttle service from Unteruhldingen and Meersburg to Mainau Island. Information on departure times and tickets can be found on the BSB website.
Before purchasing tickets, please check whether the desired shuttle connection is available on your desired date.
Arriving by public transport
The circular bus routes 4/13 and 13/4 stop near the entrance. Further information is available from Stadtwerke Konstanz.

Personal admission time
To ensure you have the most enjoyable experience possible, admission for visitors is limited to every 30 minutes . Your ticket will indicate your admission time. Please enter during the specified half hour.
Example: If you have purchased a ticket for 5:30 p.m., you can arrive between 5:30 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. Of course, you are welcome to stay in the Christmas Garden for longer than 30 minutes.
